Meeting in person safely

The basics that make a first meeting safer, without making it feel like an interrogation.

Meet in public, for the first few times at least. A busy cafe or a congregation event both work well.

Tell a friend or family member where you're going and roughly when you expect to be back. It takes thirty seconds and it matters.

Arrange your own way there and back. Being able to leave whenever you want to is worth more than convenience.

Trust how you feel. If something feels off, you don't owe anyone an explanation for leaving.
