Is JW Meets free?
Creating an account, building a profile, browsing and messaging the people you match with are all free. There are paid plans that add things like seeing who liked you and unlimited swipes, but messaging is never behind the paywall — a free account can hold a full conversation with every match it makes.
Is JW Meets affiliated with Jehovah's Witnesses or jw.org?
No. JW Meets is an independent community platform operated by The Match Company Limited. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Jehovah's Witnesses, the Watch Tower Society, or jw.org. It is built for members of the faith by people who understand it, which is a different thing from being run by the organisation.
How does faith verification work?
Members who say they are one of Jehovah's Witnesses are asked five questions drawn from a larger bank about the faith and congregation life. Answering correctly earns a JW Verified badge. It is a good-faith check, not proof of standing in a congregation, and the app says so plainly rather than implying more than it can know.
Which countries is JW Meets available in?
It is open worldwide. Prices are set per market so a subscription costs what it should where you live rather than a single price converted from dollars, and discovery can be set to your city, your country, or anywhere.
Is JW Meets safe? What stops fake profiles?
Every photograph is reviewed by a person before it appears — nothing goes live automatically. Faith answers are checked by quiz, identity verification is offered, and contact details are kept inside the app on free accounts so a conversation cannot be moved somewhere unmoderated in the first five minutes. Reporting takes two taps and a real person reviews it.
How is JW Meets different from other JW dating sites?
Three things. Messaging your matches is free rather than the thing you pay to unlock. Photos are reviewed by a person rather than published and moderated later if someone complains. And prices are set per market, so members outside North America and Western Europe are not charged a converted Western price.
Can I use JW Meets to find friendship or a pen pal rather than marriage?
Yes. Members choose what they are looking for — marriage, friendship or a pen pal — and that choice is shown on the profile, so nobody has to guess and nobody has to explain themselves.
Do you have an app for Android and iPhone?
The web app works on any phone browser today. Native Android and iPhone apps are in testing; the download links appear here and on the home page as each store listing goes live.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Your profile, photographs, prompt answers and faith quiz answers are erased within 30 days. A small record that an account existed is kept for five years so a removed member cannot immediately rejoin, along with safety, moderation and payment records for the periods set out in the deletion notice. Nothing is kept for marketing.
